From May 2021 to August 2024, I served as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Gypsy Gold Horse Farm in Ocala, FL, home to America’s first Gypsy Vanner Horses and an equine educational and cultural center.

In this role, I maintained accurate financial records, managed accounts payable and receivables using QuickBooks Online, and successfully implemented a new payroll system with Paychex. I enhanced the farm's operational efficiency by introducing systems for managing the 40 equine herd, which includes a breeding program that produces 5–10 foals annually. I revitalized the on-site gift shop by introducing new products and redesigned the farm's website using WordPress. 

 

During my time at Gypsy Gold, I led engaging educational farm tours for groups of up to 40 guests 4 days a week, ensuring memorable and informative experiences for visitors. I also expanded tour offerings to better serve families with children. As part of this initiative, I helped the farm become a vendor with Marion County Public Schools, and developed curriculum for its first school farm tour for 120 second graders. Additionally, I led tailored educational tours for Girl Scouts and launched the Wisdom Walkers program - a program where kids meet donkeys named after human virtues and learn the meaning of their names.
